The boathouse itself was cozy and welcoming, with a comfortable bed and a charming log fire that added to the romantic atmosphere. the balcony offered breathtaking views of the lake, and we spent many evenings watching the sunset from this idyllic spot. the bathroom with a luxurious bath was a nice touch, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the nearby attractions. The location of the boathouse was ideal for us, as it was a short distance from the charming town of Pooley Bridge and within driving distance of attractions like the World of Beatrix Potter and Keswick. the proximity to Newcastle International Airport made it convenient for us to travel to and from the property. Overall, our stay at the Duke of Portland Boathouse was truly unforgettable. We loved every moment of our time there and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and romantic getaway in the beautiful Lake District.
